(Jake) Davidson, P.Ag.,PAS. as a Livestock Nutrition consulting firm Bar-D Agri-Ventures has wide-ranging expertise in the all aspects of the Canadian Feed Industry with specific expertise in the Feeds Act and Regulations as administered by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency of Agriculture Canada.

Bar-D Agri-Ventures provides nutrition formulation services related to the formulation of commercial and on farm manufactured feeds for all classes of livestock and poultry. Utilizing a feed and ingredient nutrient database developed over 30 years of industry experience, rations are formulated to the highest standards using state of the art computer formulation software.

In 1979 the company was called Davidson Agribusiness Services and then from 1982 to 2004 Bar-D Enterprises. Acting as the Registered Canadian Agent for foreign firms wishing to market feeds and feed ingredients into the Canadian marketplace, Bar-D ensures that all the requirements of the applicable acts are in place, and then submits product details for final approval and the granting of a Canadian feed registration certificate. Bar-D Agri Ventures also provides general livestock and poultry nutrition consulting. This includes ration formulation, writing of lay and technical articles on livestock feeding, feed manufacturing or specific feed additives. Bar-D represents the leading supplier of feed formulation software from the U.S.A.
